Meyers' next-generation DualSport design updates the original Manx to create a new class of street-legal, on and off-road transportation. The DualSport's high, wide and aggressive stance is balanced by its flowing fiberglass body lines, rounded windshield and super-cool curved roof support system.
The functional rear-mounted wing houses the radiator, positioning it high over the engine and away from the path of damaging rocks and dirt.
The DualSport concept holds true to Meyers' original minimalist design, delivering a balanced and manuverable package that feels right at home in today's era of long travel suspensions and high-output engines. The off-road driving experience is enhanced by racing technology. Taller by 3" from the Manxter, the DualSport has the extra under-fender clearance needed to fit tall off road tires. Meyers' well executed front beam subframe increases wheelbase by almost 6" to increase off road directional stability and positions the 1.5 x 1 ratio rack and pinion for accurate steering. At the rear, the "tipped" transaxle mount adds departure clearance while climbing.
The TerraSurfer's Subaru engine delivers instant throttle response and an exhilerating rush of linear power. Couple this power with the engine's wide and flat torque numbers and the driver can easily keep the engine in its powerband while traversing even the most challenging terrain.
